Dignity

Sweet 5-year old, 35-lb. female Pointer-Beagle mix

Come meet  DIGNITY  and other great adoptable dogs this  Sunday (Feb. 17)  from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church, VA (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044) !!!!!

DIGNITY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Dignity    Best Guess for Breed: Pointer-Beagle mix

Best Guess for Age: 5 years     SEX:  male/female

Approximate Weight: 35 lbs.

Gets Along With: other dogs. If you have cats in your home let us know and we will try to have Dignity tested for prey drive.

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special adoption considerations: Could be vocal due to breed

I’m Looking For: people who are willing to open their hearts to an adult dog. People at the shelter say that Dignity exudes sweetness. One look at that adorable face and soulful eyes should convince you that this girl just wants to be loved.

At approximately 5 years of age, Dignity is no longer a bouncy puppy but in most cases that's a good thing! While Dignity still likes to keep moving and will need daily exercise she understands the world in a way that a much younger dog is still learning. She will love to take long walks with you plus a few trips to the dog park so she can stretch her legs  and make new doggie friends. Since she's part Beagle it is very important that she only be let off-leash in an enclosed area as the breed has a strong sense of wanderlust. While Dignity's a low-rider when it comes to height, at 35 lbs. she is hardy enough for kids to roughhouse with.

Training is important for all dogs and you will both benefit from enrolling Dignity is obedience class as soon on as possible. Training is a great way to help build a strong bond with your new dog. In time Dignity will likely become the most loyal friend you have ever had.
