Sykes

Sykes is a 9 year old boy. He weighs 18 pounds.

Sykes had IVDD surgery shortly after he came to us and over the course of the time he’s been with us, he has regained the ability to walk and run. He’s got a special gait, if you watch closely, but he gets around just fine. He loves playing with other dogs and is good with all people.

One of the residuals from his bout with IVDD is that he doesn’t completely empty his bladder on his own. He can start and get it mostly out, but needs a little help at the end and doesn’t mind the assistance at all. He does wear a belly band sometimes to keep any drips off the floor.

This little boy is so ready to be adopted and have a family who accepts and loves him, even with his teeny issue. (We are happy to help teach anyone how to completely empty his bladder, it’s really easy!!)

If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the DRSF Online Adoption form.

My adoption fee covers all my (prior) vet care (adopter receives vet records).  For more information refer to the DRSF Adoption Fee page.

If you have any questions about adoption or want more info, you can email: info@dachshundrescuesouthflorida.com
