Handsome Wallace is looking for a forever home!
WALLACE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Wallace Best Guess for Breed: beagle mix
Best Guess for Age: 8 as of 7.26.19 SEX: male
Approximate Weight: 30 lbs
Gets Along With: other dogs and cats. We have not seen how Wallace is with children but can find out if you have them in your home!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home.
Special adoption considerations: Wallace tested positive for Heartworm disease and has been treated on 7/9/19. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the screening process.
I’m Looking For: my family in DC. I am a mature boy who wants a family where I can receive a lot of love and affection. I'm looking for someone who will take me on walks to explore the city, and let me cuddle up with them at the end of the day.
What My Foster Says About Me: Wallace has quickly become a house favorite and we know that when he full-body wags, he wants some attention or pets. He's been good in the crate (with a little encouraging!) and good in the apartment-- he hasn't been barking at the Arlington traffic at all! He loves to explore almost as much as he loves to nap (and he loves a good nap almost as much as he loves a good snack) and is bringing so much joy and happiness (and beagle snuggles!) into our home.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any particular dog is housebroken. All our dogs are working on crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Georgia W at georgiaw@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
