Wonderfully behaved and sweet

Good with all other dogs and good with cats.

Charlie doesn’t hear very well and he has diabetes ($19.50 for 50 days worth of needles, bottle of insulin purchased at Walmart is $25) and he has cushings (monthly meds around $30). Both of these diseases are well controlled.

Charlie was left by his previous owners at the vet office when they found out he was ill. They decided to abandon him instead of treat him. The staff at the vet reached out to DRSF asking for help and so here this handsome boy is. 

From Charlie:

I came to DRSF as a very sick boy. I had bladder stones (all gone now, and the food I'm on keeps it that way). I was then diagnosed with diabetes and cushings, for which I get a shot of insulin and a pill twice a day. I am very good about taking my medicine, and with my health issues under control, I am free to cuddle with my canine friends, roll and lounge in the yard and play with my toys. These days, I don’t hear so well. Of course, the upside for you is that I’m an excellent sleeper (no crate). A world-champion eater, I am expertly house trained and love to be held like a baby and have my head kissed. I guess you could say that I am a friend to all: cats, dogs, people—large and small.
