Gets Along With: other dogs

Currently Living at: DC area foster home.

Special Adoption Considerations: Rebel cannot go to a home with kids under 15, nor to an owner that wants to have children. Rebel will need consistency and commitment to formal training to maintain his resource guarding tendencies and would do best in a home without a ton of people coming and going. He must go to a single family home or townhouse, and would not be a good fit for apartments / condos.

Rebel is Looking For: Rebel would love a home with an experienced dog owner that is willing to commit to working with a trainer so Rebel can be the best boy he can be! He is currently living with other dogs in his foster home and would benefit from a strong alpha dog presence. Rebel is a clever guy and will thrive in a home that works through training with him consistently.

What My Foster Says About Me:

Rebel is a super smart, affectionate, and friendly dog that really enjoys hanging out with us. He loves to spend his days napping at our feet, getting belly rubs, exploring the neighborhood on walks. He already knows simple commands such as sit, come, and lay down. He is interested in and friendly towards other dogs he sees in the neighborhood and would likely enjoy trips the dog park or training classes to learn how to play and socialize with other pups. Rebel’s guarding tendencies largely revolve around furniture and toys, but with some consistent training he has already made significant strides in the last few weeks he has been with us. He appears to be house trained and has not had any accidents in our home.
