Spunky girl ISO her forever family!
LILLY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Lilly Best Guess for Breed: Boxer/retriever mix
Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of 1/21 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 45 lbs
Gets Along With: Lilly loves other dogs at the dog park but is best not living with another dog right now. She also should not be in a home with kids under 12 years old. We have not seen her with cats but if you have them let us know and we can try to find out.
Currently Living at: DC area foster
Special Adoption Considerations: Lilly is a rambunctious teenager with lots of energy! Lilly gets anxious with strangers in the house so needs training to help her feel more secure. Because she can be anxious, she needs to go to a home with no kids under the age of 12. She should also be the only dog in the home.
Lilly is Looking For: Lilly is a young, energetic girl who will needs lots of play time and long walks! She'll also be happy to curl up with you at the end of the day, when she's all played out. She'll love obedience school so she can learn to be the best girl she can be.
What My Foster Says About Me:
Lilly is a spitfire and has a huge personality! Lilly loves to PLAY-- chasing and being chased is her absolute favorite. She's a huge clown and constantly makes me laugh, including when she's chasing her own tail and barking at herself in the mirror. Lilly is also an incredibly precocious, curious dog. She's always exploring her surroundings, you can practically see the wheels turning in her brain as she figures things out and experiences new things.
We took her to Petsmart for a spa day and she was a huge hit. They all loved her and complimented what a good girl she was.
When she's done running out her energy at the park or on a long walk, Lilly is a little couch potato who likes to lounge and snuggle and wants to be close to her people.
Her other favorite hobby is watching birds outside and "protecting" us from them-- she's a very diligent "guard dog"! Lilly would love to go to a home with someone who is ready to help her channel her energy into long hikes or trips to the dog park, and to support her to learn basic obedience skills so that she can be the best dog she can be. She's a smart, spunky girl with lots of love to give!
