I’m Looking For: Hi, my name is Echo and I'm a super sweet kitty! I'm about 1 year old, weigh 6 lbs, and I'm up-to-date on my vaccines. I've already been spayed and tested negative for FIV/FELUK.

I can't wait to come to the D.C. area and meet my forever family! Want a kitty that's still young but out of the kitten phase? Well then I might just be the little girl for you! Got a comfy lap for me to nap in? Ready to spoil me with lots of treats and playtime?  

What My Foster Says About Me: 

Echo is a very sweet kitty. For the first few weeks of fostering, she was shy and quiet, hiding away in whatever corner she could find. She gradually warms up to people. She hid under the couch for days and would only come out for food or to wander around at night. She needs someone who is very patient and can let her feel comfortable in her space. Once she gains some trust and knows that you will respect her boundaries, her playfulness comes out automatically! She loves her toys, especially the fishing wand and any kind of woolen ball/toy. She likes attention but only when she wants it, which I think will change as she grows more comfortable around people. Right now she rubs up against me when she's in the mood to play or wants food. While she was skeptical at first, she also LOVES being brushed and tires me out before she tires of getting brushed herself! I just have to pick up the brush and she'll be making her way over before I know it! While she's not much of a cuddler right now, I think with patience and lots of motivation she will get there someday. She’s a young playful kitty at heart, and that’s clear after spending a few weeks with her. She just takes time to open up, but the end result is well worth it!
