Raven is 5 years old and weighs 17 lbs. She’s full of kisses and personality. She’s not shy about letting her foster mom know what she wants and loves everyone she meets.

Raven came to us in the week of all the IVDD dogs. When she joined the DRSF class of 2020, she was not able to use her back legs at all and had no control of her bladder or bowels.

She was examined and evaluated at Southeast Veterinary Neurology. It was then decided that MRI and surgery was the best option for her. She went from there to Animal Recreation and Rehabilitation Center for physical therapy and can now use her back legs and can poo on her own and can pee almost all the way on her own (a little side squeeze gets the rest out for her. When she’s walking slowly, she’s able to use her hind legs and she continues to improve all the time.

She is a super happy girl who loves to play with toys, be near people, play with her dog friends.

We did have a fundraiser for Raven’s care, but didn’t reach our goal. On top of the IVDD surgery and rehabilitation, Raven also needed and received all of her vaccines, hw test, fecal test and was spayed and got a dental. She’s all ready for a forever home!!
