Due to the incredible number of puppy applications at this time, we will be taking all  puppy  applicants through a general adoption pre-approval process before confirming a particular puppy is available. This will allow us to help you find your best fit!  While we will not be accepting applications for specific puppies at this time, we encourage you to fill out the application today to get the process started!

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  13 pounds as of 3/16/21

Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.

Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. 

Olive is Looking For:  Why hello there! Somehow my siblings and I ended up at this scary shelter as baby pups! That's when these amazing people at Lucky Dog told me what a forever home is and I've been dreaming about them since! I would love for my family to take me on lots of walks to get my puppy energy out, frequent trips to the park to make all the friends, and puppy obedience school so I can be the best doggy! So what do you say- are you ready for me!?

What My Foster Says About Me: The O puppies are amazing.  Olive (white on her face) can be a little timid. They all are so sweet and smart.  They love treats so teaching them to sit has been easy peasy.  You can already tell they are going to be loyal dogs.  I have 4 kids (10-16) and the puppies are fantastic with kids and all noises that come w/ kids. There is a lot of activity in our house and the puppies have been great with all the activity.  There are also a lot of kids in and out of our house.  The puppies have been fabulous with the kids.

Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 6/15/21. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
