handsome boy seeking fresh start and love!
APOLLO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Come meet Apollo and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (January 21st) from 12-2 pm at Dogma Bakery in Arlington (2772 S Arlington Mill Dr, Arlington, VA 22206)!
Name: Apollo Best Guess for Breed: Spaniel and pointer mix
Best Guess for Age: 3.5 years as of December 2022 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 44 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen Apollo with kids, but he can be tested! We have tested him with some of the cats at the shelter, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Apollo could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home.
Check out this video of Apollo: https://youtu.be/mfsqnVJI3oo.
Apollo is Looking For: His very own human family! For eons he's shouldered tremendous responsibility on Mount Olympus. Now, he's ready to leave all that behind and start a new life as a well-loved and loyal companion. He's eager to see this world on long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures his new family can dream up. Trips to the beach - to Starbucks for puppacinos - even back to the mountains for hikes - he'd love all that. Obedience school would be awesome too, so he can show you how super fast he learns to be the goodest pup without relying on his old powers. But what he wants most of all is to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof for all his mortal days.
What do you say? Is Apollo the one you envision trotting by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: He is a big cuddler, loves to run in the yard and enjoys a tug with our dog. We're teaching him some basic commands, and he's eager to learn. He's very friendly with people, which sometimes includes jumping, so will need some training on that too!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
