PEPE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!

Come meet Pepe  and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (April 16th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Best Guess for Age:   13 weeks as of 3/25            SEX:  Male

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  13.2 lbs as of 3/22

Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home

Special Adoption Considerations:   Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. 

Pepe is Looking For:  Hola! I'm Pepe. Me and my siblings Paco, Penny, Polo, Poochie and Prada are just some Puerto Rican pups looking for our forever homes! I'm looking for a home that will let me shine. You know how you can make a puppy shine the brightest? Lots of treats, belly rubs, and love! Of course, I'll also need lots of walks and opportunities to run and play with other pups. I think I'd also like to go on lots of adventures, but I'm not 100 percent positive. I guess it depends on the kind of adventure. Most of all, I just want someone to love me. Could that be you?

What My Foster Says About Me: Pepe is full of energy. He tries to keep up with the resident dogs and is mostly successful. He will definitely defend a toy or chewy treat from them or join in tugging on a pull toy. First attempt to put a leash on him resulted in him bucking like a colt. We will start more gradually introducing the leash now. For all his high energy he loves a good cuddle. Pepe is such a happy and good natured fellow. He loves to romp with our other dogs. Pepe is such a good boy. He loves belly rubs and snuggling. He's a good going into his crate to sleep at night. He has learned to sit and he loves to play with the resident dogs. He still gets nervous on car rides because so far they've often ended up at new somewhat scary experiences like adoption events. But he can't wait to meet his forever family and go for lots of car rides to the park, and that place that gives you pup cups.

Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than June 24, 2023. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
