Lucy is an 8 year old 20 pound female.

Lucy has been with us for about 7 months. She came to us heartworm positive (that’s been completely treated and she’s heartworm free with no damage to her heart) and she had a little growth on her behind. We had that growth removed and tested and it came back malignant. The good news was that it hadn’t spread, the not so good news was that if we didn’t treat further, it had a pretty good chance of coming back in that spot. The other good news is that we have an amazing oncologist that works with us, Dr. Kilcullen at Broward Vet Specialists in Hollywood, and she told us that with 6 months of chemo the chances of return would be dropped to under 10%. So to give this gorgeous chocolate girl the best chance at life and a forever family, we proceeded with treatment. She is now done with her treatment and is all ready for forever love!

Lucy likes to be the queen of the house, so a home that has another female that likes to be queen won’t be the best fit for her. We know the perfect home is out there.
