Thumper

Thumper is a 6 year old male dachshund mix, 10 lbs

Thumper was rescued by DRSF 6 years ago when he was a baby and then made his way back to us when he needed IVDD surgery and his owner was unable to provide the care he needed and made the decision to return him to DRSF and our community covered the cost of his surgery. He’s all healed and is ready for a forever family!
When he had his MRI, the neurologist found that he had an infection of the bones in his spine. Because of this, he will need to be on antibiotics for 9 months to a year. DRSF will provide the medication that he needs for that treatment.
Thumper is the sweetest boy.
He’s good with other dogs
He is housebroken
Thumper is good with people when given a moment to say hi. He will often bark his first hello and then settles quickly and just wants pets.
Thumper’s new home can have older children (8 and up), but smaller children may be a little too much for him.
He loves to be near his people and is a mellow and happy boy
