Best Guess for Age:  7 months as of January 2024         SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight: 40 lbs as of 2/19/24; he is still growing

Gets Along With:   Other dogs and dog-savvy cats!

Special Adoption Considerations: Because Nick is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to his shy personality, we do not recommend him for a home with children under the age of 12.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home

Nick is Looking For:    His forever home! This young boy was rescued in Puerto Rico and he's eager to start his new chapter in the DC area. Getting his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up - yes, please! Exploring all the toys to see what he likes best! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed! Most of all, however, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof for all his days. 

In exchange, he promises adoring gazes, happy tail wags, and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is Nick the companion you've been seeking?

What My Foster Says About Me:   Nick is a sweet dog and his confidence has been growing every day! He has started to get excited about playing with toys and going for walks. He hasn't quite started playing with my dogs yet, but he likes being around them. He's been making great progress with housetraining and while he loves being in crate when we are home, he is improving on settling himself down when he is alone. Nick has experienced so many new things since he arrived from Puerto Rico and it has been so fun to watch him grow everyday!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
