LEX NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Best Guess for Age:   1.5 years as of January 2024          SEX:    Male

Approximate Weight:   35 lbs

Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We have tested Lex with some of the cats at the shelter, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Lex could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Lex is Looking For:    His forever home! Through no fault of his own, this handsome boy ended up in the shelter. He is full of fun, young dog energy and is ready to have his own humans to trot alongside on sniffy walks, romps in local parks, and all the adventures they can dream up! Exploring all the toys sounds great too, as well as some delicious kibble and a cushy dog bed.  

Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof every time the sun goes down. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes, cuddles, and loyalty for all his days.

What The Staff At My Boarding Location Say About Me:  "Lex is doing pretty well so far in his DC area boarding site! He really loves the staff - he truly loves people in general. He's been learning to play with dogs of all different sizes and has been doing well with that."

What My Foster Says About Me:  "Lex has blossomed in the short time he has been with us. This sweet boy is happy to sit cuddled up and chilling while we are working and he is just as happy turn on the energy when we go on adventures. Lex does well on a leash and is potty trained. He likes to co-pilot car rides. He is a gentle snuggle monster and a very quick learner. We are working on stay, down, and drop. Lex is a fast eater but not food aggressive. He loves to chase tennis balls and play with chew toys! He is truly an awesome companion. Please note, Lex is not crate trained."

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
