Name:  Rue          Best Guess for Breed: Hound and shepherd mix   

Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of January 2024          SEX:  Female

Approximate Weight:  37 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! She currently lives in a foster home with two kids and does great with them. We haven't seen Rue with cats, but she can be tested.

Currently Living at:  DC area boarding partner

Rue is Looking For: Her forever family! Rue is looking for a family that will let her shine as a hound dog---lots of long, sniffy walks, followed by snuggles on the couch. Lots of time to play with other pups and make lots of friends. She'd also like to go to obedience school so she can show you what a very good girl she is. What do you say? Is she the pup for you?

What My Foster Says About Me:  Rue is such a sweetheart! At one year old, she still has her puppy playfulness and has gotten along great with our two kids (8 and 13 years). Some of her favorite things are taking long walks, sniffing all the scents, squeaky toys, and playing tug-of-war. After she gets her wiggles out, she’s content to snuggle and nap. She’s impressed us with her near-perfect potty skills and her smarts—our 8 year old was able to teach her “sit” in a day. She’d love to continue socialization activities with other humans and dogs and show off her quick wits by learning new cues. 

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
