Handsome young man looking for a home!

RANDALL NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Randall          Best Guess for Breed:   Pointer and hound mix

Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of February 2024          SEX:    Male

Approximate Weight:   38 lbs

Gets Along With:    Other dogs! Randall was tested with cats and showed interest in them. We would be cautious about placing him in a home with a cat unless the cat has lived with dogs before.

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Randall is Looking For:    His forever home! Through no fault of his own, this handsome boy ended up in the shelter. He is full of fun, young dog energy and is ready to have his own humans to trot alongside on sniffy walks, romps in local parks, and all the adventures they can dream up! Exploring all the toys sounds great too, as well as some delicious kibble and a cushy dog bed.

Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof every time the sun goes down. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes, cuddles, and loyalty for all his days.

What do you say? Is Randall the companion you've been looking for?

What My Foster Says About Me:

"Randall is a good boy with a big heart and huge eyes who LOVES his humans. He’s been loving and gentle with both dogs and people of all ages. People really do light up in a smile as they pass him on the sidewalk because his happiness and enthusiasm are infectious. Whether in the neighborhood or dog park, he makes friends wherever he goes and looks like he’s asking, “are you my forever home?” He is great with his crate, sleeps through the night, is very food motivated, and is adaptive to his environment as long as he gets reassuring pets and kisses from his people. He’s adaptive to activity level, too: he loves to sniff on walks and would have the stamina for long outdoor activities, but he knows how to chill out at home with his humans."

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
