Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested

Currently Living at: Shelter foster home in South Carolina; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to ger his freedom ride up here!

Henry is Looking For: His forever home! This young boy is eagerly looking forward to getting his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures his family can dream up. He is looking forward to making new pup and people pals along the way. Exploring all the toys to see what he likes best, quality kibble, and a cushy dog bed are on his wish list as well. As his shelter foster says, he's up for snuggling too - and promises lots of adoring gazes and love and loyalty for all his days.

What My Shelter Foster Says About Me:

Henry has been with me for several weeks and he is such a sweet, funny, loving boy. I swear he thinks he’s a little lap dog - he loves snuggling with us.

From the time he arrived, he’s been a well mannered house guest. He has not had any accidents in the house. Has not counter surfed. Has not chewed on anything inappropriate. He sits pretty. Knows when he is supposed to go into his crate, does so politely, and sleeps quietly through the night. He loves being indoors and enjoys chewing on toys and bones.

My 3-year-old female dog loves him! He plays as wonderfully with her as he played with the other dogs at the shelter. We also had a lower-energy 12-year-old Lab spend some time with us and Henry was very respectful and chill around her. He has been friendly with the dogs he’s met while on walks.

Henry makes me laugh often. He found a tennis ball on a walk and the joy he found in that ball - he is hilarious and shows me why dogs are marvelous creatures.

But what I love most of all about Henry is how gentle and loving he is. He comes to us for pets all the time. He gets so excited when he sees us. When he jumps up in my easy chair with me for snuggles, all is right and good with the world.

What My DC Area Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster.
