Court

sweet small boy seeking fresh start and love!

COURT NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Court        Best Guess for Breed:  Retriever mix

Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of February 2024      SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight:   26 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested.

Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here

Special adoption considerations: Arizona is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the screening process.

Court is Looking For:  His forever home! We love the way this utterly adorable retriever mix looks and truly wonder what in his mix gave him those stubby little legs. He's a low-riding retriever!

Court is out of the puppy yips and in his prime. After he recovers fully from heartworm treatment he'll be ready to trot alongside his humans on long sniffy walks, and go for romps in the park and all the adventures his new family can dream up. At his size, he's also absolutely perfect for snuggles - either by your lap or on it - and he's looking forward to those.

What he wants most of all, though, is to once again have the life of a beloved family dog and to know he's under his own roof. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Can you see him down there by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster
