Special adoption considerations: Brinkleigh is a truly Lucky Dog! She tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process.
Brinkleigh is Looking For: Her forever family! This sweet mama did a great job raising her puppies Blitsgel, Bristol, and Britton, and now they're off to their own homes.
Brinkleigh now has all that love and attention to lavish upon her new family. She is eager to experience new places, people, and pups! Long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures her new humans can dream up. She wouldn't say no to some fun toys and a cushy dog bed either. What she wants most though, is to know that she is safe and loved. In exchange, she promises tail wags, adoring gazes, and loving companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you make Brinkleigh's dream come true?
What My Foster Says About Me: Brinkleigh is doing amazing! She has warmed up nicely and is so loving, cuddly, and adventurous! She loves going to the dog park, taking long walks, playing with toys, and curling up in your lap on the couch. With a good routine and a loving family, she will thrive!
