HOBBS NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Hobbs          Best Guess for Breed:   Lab and Terrier mix 

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of Mar. 2024       SEX:    Male

 

Approximate Weight:   38 lbs 

 

Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven’t seen Hobbs with cats or kids, but he can be tested!

Special Adoption Considerations:  Hobbs is unique in that, like many white animals, he is deaf.  This will require some alternative training techniques that involve visual cues.   As with any dog, training a deaf dog takes time and patience. There are some ways in which deaf and hearing dogs learn quite similarly. Repetition, reward, and consistency remain the pillars of success.  He also may startle more easily. This is a congenital abnormality and should have no medical impact on him.
