ROSE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Rose       Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix

Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of March 2024      SEX:    Female

Approximate Weight: 10 lbs

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats but she can be tested. Due to her breed mix and small size, she may not go to a home with children under the age of 12. 

Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!

Special adoption considerations:   When Rose arrived in the shelter, she was confused and scared. She has been making great strides! We think Rose will do best if she gets opportunities to interact with dogs in her new environments - they will help show her it's all good!

Rose is Looking For:   Her forever home! She and another small pup, Blanche, landed in the shelter due to no fault of their own. They're eager to once again have their own homes with extra patient and loving adopters, who will give them new experiences in new environments at their pace, and help them regain the confidence of their namesakes on the Golden Girls.They're not a bonded pair - going to their own homes is just fine (it's just not the same without Dorothy, anyway). 

Rose really is such a sweetie and has lots of love to give. She's looking forward to trotting alongside her humans on their world explorations (no purse-toting, please - she's got her dignity!). And to giving her new humans all the adoring gazes and loyal companionship in her little body.
