Miranda is Looking For:  Hiya! I'm Miranda! You might notice on my paw, I'm missing some fur. That's because when I arrived in the SC, I was really dehydrated. So the nice folks at the shelter gave me fluids, and now I feel so much better. Now, I'm living in the D.C. area with my foster family and they are really nice, but  I'm looking for my forever home! I'd like a forever home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me?

What My Foster Says About Me: Miranda is a spunky little pup with a personality as vibrant as her spirit. I work from home and for such a young pup, she has quickly picked up on queues from me for when it's time for independent play versus engaging with me. We showed her how to play with toys and now it's a favorite pastime. With us, she loves to play tug and on her own she will nose a ball around or chew on a crinkle toy, which is a favorite. I catch her playing in her water bowl daily, so my guess is she will enjoy the water once she is old enough for outdoor activities. She has been great about napping after a play session and does pretty well at night in her crate considering her age. She is quite interested in our resident dog, who is about 80lbs and wants to play so badly, but our dog has been more content just watching over her. Miranda has also met our cat, has sniffed and kissed the cat and tries to play with her. She hasn't quite figured out the cat isn't another puppy playmate, so we are working on learning to be gentle. Much like with the dog, Miranda wants to play but settles pretty quickly when she figures out the cat won't play with her. For as young as she is, she seems to be really smart and is learning pretty quickly. She is definitely going to be a great dog!

Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to this puppy’s young age, she has not yet been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than AUGUST 5, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed at one of our low cost partner vets.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!

TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
