CLEFAIRY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Clefairy    Best Guess for Breed: Terrier/Shepherd mix

Best Guess for Age:   3 years 11 months as of April 2024        SEX: Female

Approximate Weight:  36 lbs

Gets Along With:   Clefairy does well with other dogs. We haven't seen her with cats but she can be tested. 

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.

Special adoption considerations:   

Clefairy is also from a hoarding/cruelty situation, and was very scared at rescue. She was placed in a short term foster home pending a hoped-for flight to the DC area on 4/13 (foster or adopter needed for that to happen!). Because Clefairy is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. Extra patient and loving humans are definitely needed. 

Clefairy is Looking For:  For a loving home that delivers all the sweet things her rescuers whispered in her ear.... "You're safe now, sweet girl. The life you deserve starts now. You get lots of love, quality kibble, a cushy dog bed - and a warm lap if you'd like too. You're safe now, sweet girl."

Clefairy was rescued from a hoarding/cruelty case and landed in a massive south Texas shelter that routinely has 1200-1500 animals in their care; her chances of being adopted in that area are, well, low to nil. Once she arrives in the DC area, she likely will be nervous in new environments. She is eager to get her own humans - ones who get that she might need extra support during his adjustment and give her all the love and patience she needs. And ones who take her for sniffy walks and all those adventures she's been missing out on - she's in her prime and has lost time to make up for! And what do her humans they get in return? An incredibly sweet and loving dog with an enormous stockpile of adoring gazes and loyal companionship to offer the humans in her new chapter.

What My Foster Says About Me:   Clefairy is a sweet and gentle soul who is looking for a patient and loving family to call her own. She may seem reserved at first, but once she warms up to you, her personality shines through! She's curious about the world around her and loves to explore, especially when she feels safe and secure. Her timid nature melts away when she's around other dogs; she's dog-friendly and enjoys their company. Clefairy is also a real sweetheart with humans. She craves affection and bonds deeply with her people.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
