Name: Doug          Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and retriever mix

Best Guess for Age:    7 months as of May 2024         SEX:  Male

Estimated Weight:  18 pounds as of April 24, 2024, when he was six months old; he definitely is still growing!

Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Doug is Looking For:  His forever home. This cutie may look like a big boy but he's really a big older puppy! He hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet and is eager to have his own humans for romps in parks and all the adventures they can dream up, and make lots of people and pup pals along the way. Exploring all the toys to see which he likes best sounds great too, And he's excited to go to dog school so he can show how super smart he is!

Most of all, though, he wants to be a well-loved dog for all his days. In exchange he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me: Doug is a sweet and affectionate boy. He can be a little shy with new people but warms up quickly! He loves being around our family and does great with our two dogs. He is doing very well walking on the leash and loves getting to sniff during his walks. He's settling in great!
