BUTTER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Butter and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (May 19th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Name: Butter       Best Guess for Breed:  Pug and beagle mix

Best Guess for Age:  4 years as of May 2024        SEX:   Male

Approximate Weight: 19 lbs

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We have tested Butter with some of the cats at our events, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Butter could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! We haven't seen him with kids but he can be tested

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Butter is Looking For:   His forever home! Butter and his brother August, through no fault of their own, ended up in a Texas shelter - and luckily got a space on a freedom flight to the DC area. They aren't bonded and are eager to go off and get their own forever homes. 

Butter is looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and world exploration ("exploring" pup cups at the local coffee joints count!). Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on his wish list as well. And - he's out of the puppy yips and as a wise adult dog, knows what's most important in life. What he wants most of all is to be safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange he promises adoring gazes, loyal companionship, and to melt like butter into his humans' arms.

What My Foster Says About Me:  Meet Butters, the sweetest little cuddle bug you'll ever find! This adorable foster dog is a pro at going potty outside and loves to snuggle up on the couch for some Netflix and chill time. Butters sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate, although he is such a good boy if you didn't want to do the crate at night he would gladly sleep in bed with you. He gets along wonderfully with both resident dogs and cats. If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys cozying up and being part of the family, Butters is the perfect match for you!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
