AUGUST NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet August and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (May 19th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Name: August       Best Guess for Breed:  Pug and beagle mix

Best Guess for Age:  4 years as of May 2024        SEX:   Male

Approximate Weight: 24 lbs

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

August is Looking For:   His forever home! August and his brother Butter, through no fault of their own, ended up in a Texas shelter - and luckily got a space on a freedom flight to the DC area. They aren't bonded and are eager to go off and get their own forever homes.

August is looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and world exploration ("exploring" pup cups at the local coffee joints count!). Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on his wish list as well. And - he's out of the puppy yips and as a wise adult dog, knows what's most important in life. What he wants most of all is to be safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days.

What do you say? Can you see yourself waking up to that ridiculously adorable face?

What My Foster Says About Me:  August is an absolute delight of a dog and makes for the perfect companion. While he may be a bit reserved at first with new people and dogs, he quickly warms up and stays by your side throughout the day. He adores snuggling and belly rubs, and his youthful energy shines through as he happily plays in the yard and with his toys. But don't be surprised to find him cozied up on the couch, enjoying some TV time as well. August is doing well with house and crate training, and he seems very well behaved if you were to leave him home alone. August also has a brother, Butter (aka Buddy) in LDAR foster care, who he has been with up until now and gets along with very well. Auggie would make a wonderful addition to any loving family!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
