Best Guess for Age:  5 years 9 months as of Sept 2024         SEX: Female

 

Approximate Weight: 33 lbs

 

Gets Along With:    Bluebell loves her people more than anything and would like to be the only dog in the home. Bluebell is not a fit for homes with kids under 12 years of age due to her strength. 

 

We have tested Bluebell with some of the cats at the shelter, and he/she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that she could live with a cat, he/she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!

 

Currently Living at:  DC area boarding facility (She needs a foster to stay with until she finds her forever home!)

 

Special adoption considerations: Because of her breed, Bluebell must be walked using a harness and she cannot be out in the heat too long or she will have difficulty breathing.

Bluebell may be nearly 6 years old, but she’s still full of energy and enthusiasm for life! This sweet bulldog loves nothing more than spending time with her people, whether it’s joining you on an adventure, enjoying a treat, or curling up on the couch for some cozy snuggles.

Playful and Active

Despite her age, Bluebell loves playtime and thrives on multiple short walks throughout the day to burn off her energy. She’s a curious and smart girl who has worked hard to improve her leash manners, and she’s come a long way. Just be mindful of her in warmer weather—she’ll need those breaks to avoid overheating.

A True Lover

Bluebell's favorite thing is cuddly up to her humans on the couch and showering them with kisses. Once she decides that you're her person, you'll never have a more loyal companion.

What My Foster Says About Me:   Bluebell is a sweet girl that wants to be around her people at all times! She enjoys treats and a good scratch to her ears and belly as well as cuddling up on the couch with her family when it's time to rest.

She is a curious and energetic girl for being 5 years old. She loves playtime and multiple short walks throughout the day (so she doesn't overheat). She's worked hard on improving her leash manners and obedience training, so she'd love a family that will continue working with her so she can show you how smart she really is.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
