USHER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Usher and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/20) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Name:    Usher            Best Guess for Breed:    Lab/collie mix

Best Guess for Age:   6 months as of April 2025       SEX:      male

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):   30lbs as of 3/11

Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! 

Currently Living at:    DC area foster home.

Special Adoption Considerations:   Usher is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes! 

Usher is Looking For:   A life as a well-loved pup, with his own humans, in his own home! He didn't have the most awesome start to life - he arrived into our care with a life threatening condition (Intussusception) that required immediate surgery to save him. He was provided life saving surgery and is now healing and recovering.

Usher deserves all the best. He's just a puppy and wants puppy things too - play time and snuggles and more play time! Loving humans, long sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures his family can dream up. In exchange he promises so many adoring gazes, happy tail thumps, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me: Usher is a very happy boy that needs another playful dog friend in his family. He's very shy at first, but after some patience, he enjoys scritches and cuddles. He is very food motivated (when he's not being too shy!). He needs a schedule for going out/going potty, is continuing to learn leash manners, and sleeps all night quietly in his crate.

Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
