MAGPIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Magpie           Best Guess for Breed:   Lab mix

Best Guess for Age:    5 months as of February 2025          SEX:   Female

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):     26 lbs as of 2/21/2025

Gets Along With: Other dogs! Magpie has been fostered with kids but does not have experience living with cats to our knowledge. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats, and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.

Currently Living at:   DC area boarding partner. Magpie needs a foster or forever home!

Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.

Magpie is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweetie is in the tail end of puppyhood and and still has all that puppy love for play and snuggles and more play! She hasn't seen nearly enough of the world and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is! And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved for all her days.

What do you say? Will you give Magpie the life she dreams about in exchange for adoring gazes and happy tail wags and loyal companionship?

What My Foster Says About Me: She is a lovely playful puppy, not too overpowering for my older dogs. She was a dream in the car too. Oh, and she knows how to sit for what she wants! She already has us trained that sit means she gets a treat.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!

TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
