CHICKY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Chicky and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (03/23) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!

Name: Chicky        Best Guess for Breed:   Shepherd and retriever mix 

Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of March 2025        SEX:   Female

Approximate Weight:  30 lbs as of 3/5/25; she is still growing!

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! She lived with kids and a cat for a few days in a foster home which is a good indication that she could do well living with either. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home

Chicky is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweetie is in the tail end of puppyhood and and still has all that puppy love for play and snuggles and more play! She hasn't seen nearly enough of the world and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved for all her days.

What My Foster Says About Me: Chicky was so sweet with children at the event! She walked well on leash and played well with other dogs! She barked at our cat but not aggressively, just curious about why this fluffy thing wasn't playing with her! She was very cuddly and polite. She also slept well overnight in the crate!
