Approximate Weight:    42 lbs 

Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living At: DC area foster home

Special Adoption Considerations: Peaches is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.

Peaches is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet young lady has smiles and tail wags to spare! She's eager to make friends, and would love the opportunity to meet lots of new four legged pals at the park or in the yard. Peaches would love to give her humans lots of hugs and snuggles, too!

Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange, she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Peaches the smiley companion you've been searching for?

What My Foster Says About Me: Peaches is a curious girl who LOVES to cuddle in your lap! She adores people but also enjoys some independent play. So far, she's had very good manners when meeting new people!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
