Pretty senior gal looking for her second chance

FERGUS NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

This senior gal deserves the best for hopefully many years to come!

Name: Fergus    Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Best Guess for Age: 12 years (Est. DOB: 3/6/2013)  Sex: Female

Approximate Weight: 8 lbs as of 5/27/25

Coloring: Tabby with white paws   Type of Hair: Short

Gets Along With: Fergus gets a bit nervous around other animals and would do best in a home as a single cat. That said, she has coexisted nicely with two resident cats in the past, but a decent integration process will be needed.

Currently Living at: Foster home in the DC area

I am Looking For: A quiet home to get comfy in, share my love, and receive some pets! Hi - I'm Fergus. As a wee baby I was found in a trash bag on the side of the street. I was then adopted out and lived with my family for many years. However, they're moving and not able to take me with them. So I found myself looking for a new forever home! Can you take a chance on me and welcome me into your home?

What My Foster Says About Me: Fergus is so sweet! She is currently separated from the resident cat and living in a large bathroom, but she waits by the door for her foster to give her some pets, and once her foster sits down, all bets are off! She can be a bit hissy but there's no bite behind her bark, and once she gets comfortable, she's just excited to see you. She is a bit nervous with loud noises (aren't we all?) but has found some prime hiding spaces for when the vacuum comes out. Ultimately, she's just looking for a home that can provide her some love, playtime, serenity, and TLC. Is that home yours?

Special Considerations: Fergus has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, is up-to-date on vaccinations and an annual exam with senior bloodwork, and is spayed. She has been overgrooming and has a few missing areas of fur on her belly and legs, likely due to the stress she's experienced in the past couple of months (many changes!)

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this cat is $200, which includes the cost of routine vetting.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at bit.ly/adoptaluckycat
