Name:  Chicago      Best Guess for Breed:   Papillon and terrier mix

Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of July 2025       SEX:   Male

Approximate Weight:  9.2 lbs as of 7/2/25; he is still growing!

Gets Along With: Other dogs!We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
 

Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!

Special Adoption Considerations: Right now (7/2/25) - Chicago has a cherry eye. It will be fixed before he comes to the DC area!

Chicago is Looking For:    His forever home! This sweetie is at the tail end of puppyhood and ready to see the world! He's eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. (Yes, he may be small but that just means he's closer to the ground for all those great smells!) And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. 

Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is there a spot in your lap and your life for Chicago?
