Sweet gentle girl seeks loving new family

Come meet Reba and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday, (July 2) from 12 - 2 pm at the Unleashed by Petco (5400 Lee Hwy, Arlington, VA 22207)!!!!!

REBA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Reba  Best Guess for Breed: Redbone Coonhound Mix

Best Guess for Age: 6 years old (as of 4/2/17)

Approximate Weight: 55 lbs

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special Adoption Considerations: We feel Reba would do well in a home with an experienced owner with no children under the age of 15 as she doesn't love the idea of sharing her food. We would also like adopters to be aware that like most coonhounds, Reba has the tendency to be vocal in certain situations.

Hi everyone! My name is Reba, and I am a 6 year old, 55 pound Redbone Coonhound mix and would love a family more than anything!

Reba is a very sweet, gentle, beautiful girl who enjoys playing with other dog friends! She deserves a family that can show her what living the sweet life can be all about! She would love long walks, hiking, trips to the dog park, great toys, belly rubs, naps and kisses! That's a small price to pay for a lifetime of love in return isn't it? Reba is always calm, cool and collected. She does great strolling around the city - walks very well on her leash and saying hello to passerbys. She is a great jogging partner - no zig zagging that will trip you up! She is always up for anything with a tail wag, but likes to relax and cuddle with both you and her foster sister too. She is a great companion and deserves the best!

*Foster Update*

"Reba is such a sweet girl. She always wants to know where I am, but then is content just laying in the couch, her bed, or even my bed sometimes! She loves to chew on bones and watch out the window. She only barks when she gets excited or when I leave the house, but calms down shortly thereafter. She does resource guard, but only when you try to take something directly from her mouth. She is perfectly fine if you just tell her no and has improved so much with her listening skills. She knows how to sit, stay, come, and shake. Reba walks beautifully on the leash and only pulls if she sees a rabbit."

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations . If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lauren at laurenm@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
