Hi, I'm June a people friendly American Staffordshire Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog / Boxer mix. I had a DNA test done and that was my results. I was one of many dogs rescued from a raid in El Rio. I'm grateful to be given a chance to know the true meaning of being a cherished member of a loving family. I'm affectionate and playful and I've had formal training and know the basics - come when called, sit on command, stay and walk well on a leash, but will need more training once adopted. I also know how to walk on a treadmill. I'm ok with some small dogs in playgroups at the kennel. So if you have small fur baby in the home, please bring him/her along so we can do a meet and greet. We've been through a lot and I hope we all find our forever homes really soon.

I'm one of the lucky dogs to have a C.A.R.L. Pal, where I can be taken on fun outings. My C.A.R.L. Pal Amanda, took me to the beach. Although she was told I didn't like water, I had fun running through a few inches of the ocean water. We ran back and forth along the shore line. I was complimented on how well mannered I was from a couple of people who had been watching me from the pier. I even did well when a couple of off leash dogs (both non-threatening , little and very young) ran up to me. I paid attention to Amanda and let her guide me past them. I pulled a little on the leash when we first started to walk, but after a little bit of correction (moving back when I pulled, and going forward as soon as I stopped) I was fine and we got into a good gait. I was very uneasy when the train went by. Amanda will have to take me to the beach again really soon so I can get used to the train. I had a great time and can't wait until we do it again.
