Siberian Husky

Maxx is a stunning black and white Siberian Husky with piercing blue eyes, about 1 1/2 years old. This dog is beyond fabulous: he is smart, funny, gorgeous, and once he trusts you, he is anxious to please. He needs an experienced husky home. Sweet Maxx has been passed around from human to human to stray to shelter to foster, until he doesn't know where he belongs, or who is in charge. Picked up as a stray, none of his former "humans" wanted him back.He was covered in fleas and ticks, so the shelter gave him a dip; when they went by his kennel a while later, they wondered where all the gravel had come from...then realized it was all the dead ticks that had fallen off! Ewww: poor Maxx!

Miraculously, he has since tested negative for all tick-borne diseases.
When the shelter asked Norsled to take this boy, they said he was too much of a handful for most people; but what I found when I brought him home was...simply a husky with no direction.Yes, he is an adolescent boy and full of beans...AND a sweet big baby who wants to be loved.
He has learned so much, and come so far in the 7 weeks he has been in his foster home, sometimes I cannot believe he is the same dog! He is a terrific companion, always ready for adventure; and like most young huskies, needs plenty of exercise. He is learning to walk nicely on leash, and when walking with him, it is hard to take your eyes off this strutting showboat! Unless you are with him most of the time, he will do best in a home with another dog who likes to play rough; NO SMALL DOGS. He is fine with them, they get along, but he plays too rough for them: he's a HUSKY!
Maxx is crate trained, neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, and did I mention that he is beyond fabulous? To meet Maxx or get more info, please email an adoption questionnaire to sedna101@aol.com
Come meet him and fall in love!
