Special adoption considerations: Sadie is looking for an experienced owner and a home with no children or cats. 

Meet Sadie! This sweet Foxhound/Bluetick coonhound mix is approximately 7 years old, 75 lbs and is looking for a new home! 

Sadie loves to bask in the sun and is looking for a quiet home outside the bustling city, as loud sudden noises make her a bit anxious. She loves to take long walks in the woods and enjoys belly rubs, sleeping and eating. Sadie is an independent dog but loves to snuggle. Despite her size, she acts like a lap dog and loves to sleep on her humans. Sadie can be playful especially when she starts baying (howling). Hounds are known to be motivated by food and she is no different. She has an amazing sense of smell and would do best on-leash or in a fenced in area to explore!

Sadie would thrive in a relaxed environment with no children. She does well with medium to large sized male dog(s).

Like most shelter dogs, Sadie may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
