Name: Alabama     Breed: Lab mix

Approximate Age: 2 years

Approximate Weight: 37 lbs.

Currently Living at: Foster

Hi! My name is Alabama. Foster Mom and Dad call me Ali (and Little Bug) for short. Although I love my foster home, I am still looking for my furever home. I am a shy girl, so please give me a bit of time to show you how lovey I can be! Foster Mom said she is very happy with my progress: I am playing more with my foster sister, and I have discovered that I really like to play with the rope toy! I love walks and I am well behaved in the car. I'm not a high-energy or rough-and-tumble kind of girl, so if you are looking for a mellow dog, I am THE ONE!

Alabama is 2 years old and weighs around 37 lbs. Alabama does well with other dogs. We don’t know how she interacts with kids yet, but we can find out! She also has never lived in a home with cats, but from what we have observed we think should would be ok with feline siblings. She is good with people, but a little shy and needs some help building her confidence. We think she would do best in a home with another dog to show her the ropes. Alabama would also like someone who can help her show off her smarts by going to obedience classes. Her foster mom has already helped her learn how to sit!

Do you think you have what it takes to help this sweet girl get a new start in life? She wants nothing more than to find a loving family and warm bed to call her own!

Like most shelter dogs, Alabama may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and e-mail it to Liisa at liisaw@luckydoganimalrescue.org! (Please note the double "i" spelling is not a typo!)
