Meet Elijah, a 10-year-old male Doxie weighing 9 lbs.  His foster Mom describes him as "a fun, happy little dog." He is currently heartworm positive, which is not contagious but will require his activity to be limited while he is treated. Elijah loves his walks and likes to go in the car; he becomes friend with everyone he meets, is good with other dogs, and gets along with cats as well. His favorite place to be is on the sofa next to his foster Mom. Elijah is blind in one eye and currently has a cataract in the other but he will be seeing an eye specialist. He is missing many teeth but that doesn't stop him from eating well. Despite his physical imperfections, Elijah is sweet-natured and happy.
