Meet Cheryle, a 6-year-old longhaired beauty surrendered to us because her former owner could no longer keep her. She was named after a beautiful, sweet friend of the DRSF family who is a breast cancer survivor. Our Cheryle is seriously obese, currently weighing 30 lbs when she should be around 15 at her ideal weight, but has a great disposition and is a happy, friendly gal.
Cheryle is housebroken and extremely well behaved. She doesn't bark, bite, try to go in rooms when the door is shut, chew on anything she isn't supposed to, etc. She gets along well with other dogs and has a really sweet and mellow personality. She loves to be around people, have her chin and belly rubbed, and play with stuffed animals.
She's on a diet and making progress. Her weight still affects the way she walks but she has become so much more mobile and active since she arrived at her foster home, and can now go on a short walk and "run" in her own certain way.
If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the DRSF Online Adoption form.
