Currently Living at: DC Boarding; Ricardo needs a foster or forever home!

Hi! My name is Ricardo! I’m a lovable 1 or 2 year-old Chihuahua mix. I live well with other dogs and cats. Because of my small size at only 14 pounds I would prefer a home without kids under 15, but would be great for apartment living!

I really enjoy walks with my foster mom and she says I like to play with their resident dog and all the great dog toys they have. I also really like to cuddle when play time is over. I can be a little shy when meeting new acquaintances, but my foster mom has been helping me learn that this is not so scary as I first thought! I really love my foster's mom house, but I would much prefer a forever home! 

My foster mom also made this awesome top 10 list of why she thinks I am a great!

1. He is incredibly loyal.
2. He is so smart and loves to learn.
3. Best bug catcher, ever.
4. Cuddling!
5. Endless kisses.
6. He reminds me to unplug and be present.
7. He loves to play with me, and his foster sister.
8. He agrees that the best place to spend a nice day is reading in the backyard.

10. He is a silly little clown that makes me giggle.

Like most shelter dogs, Ricardo may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
