Once again our dog population was low and we were able to make a trip south, to a high kill area, and managed to fit 37 dogs and one tiny Siamese kitten into the Yukon XL!!!  Rarely is there much vet work done on the dogs we choose so we have the normal expenses of getting them ready for adoption on top of the shelter pull fees, gas, one night hotel stay and lots of coffee so a trip costs us about $800.00.  However, this trip was sponsored by Regain Physical Therapy!!!  They are located at 3819 Monroe Ave., Pittsford, NY and are a new business with a new facebook site and we'd love to have you facebook them, "Like" them, and give them a shout out of thanks!  If you know any other businesses that might be willing to sponsor a southern rescue mission, please let us know. 

 Not one dog complained about the long ride and all have settled in nicely.  Many of them seemed to have understood, right away, that they were now safe in our Dog House with fresh blankets, lots of Science Diet food, automatic waterers and even toys!  It gets a little confusing when getting files ready for so many, so if breed, size, age seems questionable with the photos shown, please let us know. We are doing the best we can to save as many as we can.  We so appreciate your understanding and willingness to adopt a dog we know little about that would have been dead, within a few days, If they had not come here.  We always test out of towners for heart worm.

 

Bogey was born about May 21, 2011 and weighs about 25 lbs.  He is so handsome in all his red freckles and speckles! Â  Bogey is a very sweet boy and is good with the other dogs.  He just adores his humans!

Bogey is ‘move in ready’ and will be the perfect dog for any household! This boy is oh so sweet! He is housetrained and uses the doggy door. He sleeps very nicely just about anywhere but he prefers to sleep with you as he is very much a snuggler. Bogey LOVES to cuddle and snuggle.  He lays right on your lap and keeps you oh so warm! He is all about his people and he will just love you to death! He is always wants to be right by you and loves to do whatever you are doing! 

Bogey will always be very excited to see you, even if you have only been away for a few minutes, and he greets you with lots of love and kisses. He gets along well with other dogs; they play together all day long. He also loves to play with toys. He’s small so he doesn’t take up a lot of room or get in the way. And because all he wants to do is please you, he is highly trainable for anything at all you want him to learn! If you are in the market for a wonderful companion dog that will snuggle you and love you forever, Bogey is the dog for you!

  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $275.00.

Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet.

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.

We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
