Age and Size: Approximately 9-10 years old and 40 lbs

Hi, my name is Toothless! I am a very special addition to Twin Cities Pet Rescue. I am one of 367 dogs rescued on August 23, 2013 from the second largest dog fighting raid in U.S. history. I spent the majority of my life tethered to a short, heavy chain in sweltering heat and humidity with little to no food or water and minimal access to shelter. My rescuers suspect that I worked the chain with my mouth for years, leaving me essentially toothless (hence the name). Having no teeth doesn't slow me down though! I'm still a super happy boy! My foster mom met me after she volunteered with the wonderful group who rescued me. She instantly fell in love and brought me home in 2014 to be part of Twin Cities Pet Rescue.

Since then I have flourished and grown into an amazing little guy. I have the silliest personality and lots of fun quirks. I’ve even become a little famous (check out my Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/evanthesurvivor/). I love everyone and anyone that will give me cuddles, food, and attention. I’ll give you kisses, snuggles, and sit in your lap whenever you ask. I've been doing fantastic on my socialization with other dogs. I currently have a live-in girlfriend named Ivy. We play, wrestle, cuddle and take baths together. I also have a foster brother and sister, Emmett and Penelope. Emmett keeps trying to steal my girlfriend, but she knows I love her most. Penelope and I have an unspoken agreement to co-exist. She’s not big on the whole playing and wrestling thing… I've even befriended a senior hospice cat named Emily. We like to cuddle while I lick her face and ears.

My favorite things in the whole wide world are treats, my stuffed hedgehog, and wool balls. Honestly, I love basically any stuffed toy, but nothing beats my hedgehog. My foster parents told me that I’m a hoarder because I steal all the toys in the house and hide them in my bed. I tell them I’m just ensuring that the toys are safe and sound. It would be devastating if something happened to my hedgehog.

I love to go for walks and play in the back yard with my foster brother and girlfriend. Once in a while Penelope will run along with us, too. When it’s time to settle in for the night, I’m the first one to jump up next to my foster parents for snuggles. I usually fall asleep first, resulting in embarrassing pictures of me with my tongue hanging out posted on my Facebook page. No biggie, I know I look adorable.

I’m completely potty trained and I don’t mind my kennel at all. The kennel is a safe place where I like to hang out with my toys and treats. I even sleep in there at night.

Anyway, as you can see, I’m one in a million. Even though I'm am happy as can be with my foster family and all the people who support and love me, it’d be great to find a home of my very own.
