Hi, I'm Rubi a gorgeous Chow who was rescued with a few other Chows from a backyard breeder. I was so thankful to get out of that bad living situation. We were under socialized and so afraid of people that we could not be leashed up to go for walks. The C.A.R.L. staff worked hard to befriend all of us and we've made a lot of progress. I'm shy when I first meet new people, so they think it'd be best if I went to a home with no small children. I'd be great for someone who enjoys the outdoors as I love to play in the kiddie pools they have in the play yards and going for walks with the volunteers. I have great leash manners and I'm a kennel staff favorite too. Tennis balls are my favorite toy of choice. I ignore the other dogs when I'm in my kennel run, so I might do ok with other dogs. If you have a dog, please bring him or her along so we can do a meet and greet. I was cat tested and did great even when the cat hissed at me. I need a home that will continue with my socialization and enable me to blossom into the wonderful dog that I am. I'm looking forward to a wonderful life with a loving family in a home to call my own.

*Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog at the Burnice Kraemer Sanctuary and giving her the chance for a better life.
