From the Foster: Sierra Mist (or Cici, as we call her) is a sweet and fun-loving little baby who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She follows her foster parents and sister (our resident dog, Sophie) everywhere and would prefer to be carried always, but as a dog that will likely someday become large, is learning that she needs to gain some independence and be okay with hanging out on the floor, also. As such, she's recently learned to run up the stairs in adorable, tiny, bounding leaps! We're still working at going down stairs independently - she's still very small :).

Anybody familiar with brand new puppies know that they have two settings: out-cold and GO and Cici is no exception. Her favorite things include playing fetch with squeaky toys and snuggling with her foster parents, preferably while totally and completely burrowed underneath a blanket.

Leash and potty training are coming along as well as can be expected for a puppy as young as Cici! The chilly weather has been a struggle for her (even with coats and sweaters), but she is learning that the quicker that she goes potty outside, the quicker she gets to go back inside. Her adoptive family will definitely need to help her keep warm through the winter by dressing her for the weather  as her natural pitty coat is extremely light and insufficient to keep her warm on its own.

We feel that Cici is a great little puppy that will do well in any home environment that includes a warm lap, squeaky toys, and lots of love. She is indifferent to cats, giddy and gleeful around dogs of all shapes and sizes, and will likely do well with children also.
