Name: Frank    Breed: Shepherd mix

Approximate Age: 1.5 years

Approximate Weight: 47 pounds

Currently Living at: DC Boarding!

Meet Frank! Frank is an amazing shepherd mix that is teaching us about the power of forgiveness. At just 1.5 years-old this guy found himself tied up and living outside in the cold winter weather. When he was rescued he was severely underweight, but our guy is fattening right up! Despite his former situation, his capacity to love continues to astound everyone he meets. He's done great with every dog he's met, but we aren't sure yet just how he would do around the kiddies and kitties. However, ask and we can try to find out!

Frank has a great personality and will need mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis.

Frank may no longer be a puppy, but he will still need a committed owner to provide training and exercise to be a well-behaved dog.

Frank is dreaming of finding a warm and loving forever home! All he needs is a caring person or family to give him all the love and care (and treats!) he deserves!

Like most shelter dogs, Frank may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $380, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our
Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Emily Jagdmann at emilyj@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

Frank NEEDS SPONSORS TO HELP WITH HIS HEARTWORM TREATMENT!!!!! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets.  After being treated, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
