~Roscoe is a curious, social guy!  He’s a 15 lb. Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier blend who loves to be in the mix of things, whether it’s with you or his four legged buddies.  He currently lives with 4 other dogs (who range from 7 lbs. to 60 lbs.) and a seven month old kitten and gets along well with them all.  He loves walks, car rides, and doggie training time!  Roscoe is very smart, food motivated, and eager to please - which makes him a great student!  So far, he knows “Sit”, “Down”, “Leave It”, and “Kennel”.  Roscoe sleeps quietly in his kennel at night and during the day while his foster mom is at work. He’s also a perfect gentleman on the leash and does not pull or bark at passing strangers.  He is about six years old and loves to be active, though he is not hyper.  If you like to hike or take long walks, he’s your guy. He’s equally on board for a long nap.  Roscoe does seem to be allergic to flea bites and will need an owner who’ll keep him right on time with flea prevention.  He gets very itchy when bitten by fleas and will scratch enough to leave bald spots without help from his owner. Roscoe is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations.  He will also come with one free month of pet health insurance.  Roscoe was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved him and now they are helping him find the forever, loving home that he has never known.

He is currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and is in a foster home. By adopting him, you not only give him a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.
