Name: Nero     Breed: Shepherd/Spaniel mix

Approximate Age: 10 months

Approximate Weight: 51 lbs

Currently Living at: Shelter but coming to the DC area soon.  Nero needs a foster or, better yet, a forever home!

I am Nero, and I am seeking a family who would like me as their emperor. Like my namesake, who ordered the construction of theaters and promoted athletic games, I enjoy being entertained and getting lots of exercise. I am a young (and big) boy, so I am looking for a family who will take me to school where I can develop good manners and will make sure that I get lots of opportunities to socialize. I am going to need a LOT of exercise--regular walks, trips to the dog park, and maybe running, hiking and swimming.

I get along well with other dogs, so would love to join an existing pack or soak up all the attention as an only dog. I have not been tested with kids or cats, but if your household includes any of those, the people at Lucky Dog can try to make arrangements to see how I am with such creatures.

Like most shelter dogs, Nero may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
