Greetings! My name is Andy and I'm a 40 pound, male, 1-year-old bulldog shepherd mix looking for a home base of my very own. Some people think I look weird, but I think I look distinctive. I'm definitely not your run of the mill dog, that's for sure! I have a great, interesting look that makes me stand out from a crowd.

The people at the shelter say I have a quirky personality to match. I just love playing with other dogs, even though most are quite a bit taller than me. I make up for my lack of height with enthusiasm and spunk! I also like getting to know lots of people and just love pets from anyone! I'm definitely not shy.

I'm really hoping to go to a home with an active person or family who will take me on lots of long walks and trips to the dog park. I'd really love my own little bed, some neat toys, and maybe some yummy treats. I'll pay you back in slobbery kisses! I'm the best at slobbery kisses. Are you looking for someone out of the ordinary? Like most shelter dogs, Andy may need a refresher on house training.  He is likely crate trained.

FOSTER UPDATE: I admit, I was intrigued by Andy's unique look the moment I saw his picture. Now, I can say as his foster, his personality is wonderful. Andy is always happy and smiling. I never tire of looking at his crinkly sage face and beautiful gold eyes. He is smart, sweet and affectionate. Andy has a moderate energy level; is low shed, and has had no accidents in the house so far. He enjoys driving curled up in the passenger seat and listening to music. Andy loves to run in the yard with his 29 lb and 70 lb foster brothers. His wiggly butt and short legs carry him far and fast. When he wants to chill, he lays down on the fleece bed in his open crate. At nite, he crates and never complains. Andy has the self confidence of a doggie who has been, and always will be, loved. In a family or as your companion, Andy will truly be your best friend.
